The weather is so beautiful out right now that I'm sitting myself down just long enough to write a post before I go out to the pool.
The race went well yesterday. I went a minute and a half faster than my last race. Tim thinks that I need a different training regiment, and I probably do need a bit more of a kick in the butt to get myself moving faster. I mean, I've been running for a while now and I can basically only run one mile before I have to stop and walk (which I am proud of), but for the length of time that I've been running, i should be a little bit better than that. The folks that I run with are all really fast and they are winning their categories, and I am coming up behind at close to twice their time. :-P One guy literally ran a 10k in the time that it took me to run a 5k.
The contra dance was so much fun! Tim came and some of his friends all joined, too. It would be more fun if I was more experienced. It takes a lot of concentration to learn all the steps and do them correctly. I am really looking forward to the contra dances at the Folk Festival to try out my skills again. After the dance we went to a delicious Sushi placed called Jasmine's that's in a cute little storefront downtown. It was DElicious. Our friend, Dan, decided that Sake Bombs were a good idea, so we went with it. (he was buying. ;o) ) sake, Sake, SAKE BOMB!!! Two of my attempted four ended up on the table, ground, and my lap rather than in my stomach. :-P Maybe not the best primer for the night before a 5k, but still, very fun.
Still no great news from Texas. One of the positions that Tim had been in the running for, but wasn't openly advertised, just opened up. It has a lot of potential because it's an AP history class and regular history. The job that I interviewed for won't be finalized with a teacher until the end of the month, so I still don't know, either. It would be nice to have at least some "yesses" or "nos" instead of having all of these "I don't knows" floating around. However, I am remaining positive. No matter what, I have a job for next year at my current school.
Well, it's about that time! Pool, here I come!

Good luck with the pending jobs. I hope you both get exactly what you're after!
